Menasha Rotarians saw the first glimpse of what Jefferson Park may look like in the future. Three concept vision plans depicting a variety of changes to the park were presented to the group on December 25th. Park consultants and City staff have spent several weeks collecting public feedback from various park users of the City’s most popular park. All three plans create more public green space and improved access to the water which follows the City’s Brand Position Statement by providing “the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of natural beauty, relaxation and water recreation”.

Rotarians, and the public can view the three plans and provide comments online by visiting www.saa-madison.com/community-comment/menasha-wi-jefferson-park-vision-plan. Extensive public feedback, including information gathered in over 650 public surveys has guided the planning process so far. In the coming weeks, the three plans will be narrowed down to two. Those two concepts will be developed and discussed at a joint Park Board and Plan Commission meeting on February 14 at 4:30pm in City Hall.
